Documenting change in the Ebbett's Pass area

The Ebbett's Pass area in the central Sierra Nevada Mountains is in California's third-fastest growing region. Residents of the area, which includes the towns of Angels Camp, Arnold and Murphy's, are hopeful about the future, but many worry how growth will affect the area's rural character.

This project gathered the stories of the people in this area -- from long-time rancher Tom Tryon who hopes one day to pass on his ranch to his son to new residents Eric and Christine Taylor, who operate an organic farm in the area. The stories became the basis of a multimedia presentation that also included still photographs and video clips, for showing to audiences throughout the area.
