Documenting trailer park culture in Davis

This project was a video documentary based on interviews with residents of three mobile home communities on Olive Drive in Davis: Slatter's Court, Davis Trailer Park and Davis Mobile Estates.

Olive Drive is one of the only areas of affordable housing in Davis, and historically represents a trailer park culture quintessentially Californian. Here residents have a strong sense of solidarity with each other that manifests itself in close personal relationships and various neighborhood groups.

The video, which included archival footage and photographs, was screened on the UC Davis campus, on public access television and at several community venues.
